I did this and you need bigger disk on the sides of the spool. If you follow her instructions the string will get stuck between the real and the handle.

I know you did this project forever ago, but I was hoping you could direct me to measurements for the different parts (spools, toy wheels, etc.) The dowel sizes were posted but I’ve found hobby lobby has a ton of different sizes for the parts required for this project. I’ve eyed this project for years and hoping my husband will help me with this project! Thanks for any help you can give.
