Christmas Living Room Tree

Nothing gets me in the holiday spirit like harvesting a real pine tree from the mountains.

Each one has so much character and I’ve come to prefer it over the perfect symmetry of an artificial tree.

We adorned this year’s Christmas tree with sliced oranges, ribbon and rustic ornaments. The color scheme used shades of deep red, brown and tan.

Simple ways to bring holiday cheer to even small spaces.

Christmas Living Room Mantel

The fireplace is another focal point of our cottage living room decorating.

We added layers of candles for both light and dimension.

It’s a fun way to brighten up the holiday decor.

Living Room Decorations and Greenery

Turning toward the rest of the room, we can see other festive touches, like a bowl of greenery and shelled nuts.

The colors are gentle and muted, but still festive.

I pulled out some mini stockings for our Christmas countdown, and filled a few of them with pine sprigs. So simple.

My daughter made this cardboard nativity scene years ago.

It’s a precious treasure that I will always hold onto.

Another family heirloom is the wooden nativity set that I inherited from my Grandmother.

Some red throw pillows on the sofa add easy Christmas charm.

And of course, no Christmas living room decorating is complete without a gorgeous wreath to cap it all off.

I’m in love with every little festive touch!
