Preheat the oven to 450 degrees fahrenheit.
In a bowl or food processor, mix the salt into the flour. Cube the butter and incorporate the cubes into the flour mixture. Mix it all together until the flour resembles coarse crumbs. This works great in a food processor, with a pastry cutter, forks, or hands.
Sprinkle the baking powder over the dough and pour in the milk. Using a large spoon or spatula, mix the dough until it comes together and forms a ball. If it is too tacky to work with, add a little more flour or simply flour your surface while folding the dough. Knead/fold the dough 8-10 times, being careful not to overwork the dough.
Flatten the dough out onto a lightly floured countertop or cutting board, until it is about 1 inch thick. Using a cookie cutter, biscuit cutter, or the rim of an upside-down cup, press down in the dough while cutting out biscuit rounds. Press the scraps together and do it again until you have used all the dough.
Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet or cast-iron skillet. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly browned and cooked through.
Enjoy warm with a slab of butter and drizzle of honey! Tastes like home!
